Technology courses including Microsoft Office Applications. Facilitate the Online Anthem High School program and
conduct Math tutoring workshops to improve student retention.
Distance Education Business Development: Executive Director/VP Dallas TeleLearning of the Dallas County
Community College District (7 years), the nation’s largest producer and distributor of Internet & Video based
Distance Education materials to Colleges and Universities worldwide. Directed Marketing and Production
Operations for Multimedia Course Development, (Online and Documentary Broadcast Video programs), including
Live Pay Per View Broadcast/Webcast Seminar Events for Faculty and Administrators. Expanded the self
sustaining financial status and the leadership position Dallas TeleLearning holds in the Higher Education and K –
12 markets. Negotiated partnership agreements with major organizations, including: the PBS Adult Learning
Service, Major Textbook Publishers, Microsoft, CISCO & other technological partnerships.
Financial Institutions - Crises Turnaround: Lead Accounting and Operational Teams in support of the
downsizing of the Savings & Loan Industry through partnerships between CPA firms and the Dallas based EDS
Corporation (6 years) contracting with the Resolution Trust Corporation (RTC) and the FDIC. The S&L
downsizing was caused, in part, by the tax changes that impacted the Real Estate Industry. This experience
sharpened my Strategic Planning and Financial Management abilities in a national crisis situation.
New Business Planning & Marketing Administration: Led Spectradyne, Inc. to increased profit margins
through increasing PPV movie sales along with added hotel technical service options in the Hotel Entertainment
Industry. Developed special pricing sales options, controlled major nonstandard sales contract negotiations,
researched & implemented new business opportunities in the hospital market and established alliances with major
movie and equipment suppliers (HBO, Showtime, Magnavox, etc.) for this leading supplier of PPV movies.
Regulatory Action Turnaround: Director, Contract Administration - DSC Communications (now ALCATEL)
Directed all major Sales Contract Negotiations and Implemented marketing controls restoring trust and confidence
in the company’s financial reporting ending a three year SEC investigation and stockholder lawsuit brought on by
early revenue bookings.. Negotiated $10 MM - over $200 MM Supply and Software Licensing Agreements with the
seven regional Bell Operating Companies, GTE, Sprint, MC & other major telephone companies.
Computer Services Engineering Provider (10 years): Started at Northern Telecom, (now Nortel Corporation) as
a Computer Service Engineer later promoted to Instructor and Technical Writer. Later promoted to Area Manager
and again to Regional Field Operations Manager where I had full P & L responsibility for the sale of all Computer
Service Contracts, directed all Computer Service and Installation activities and personnel in an eight (8) state
region.
