Established and directed the first company training program for Quality Control and

Manufacturing Inspector’s. Initiated immediate and mandatory standardized Blue Print training

methodology. Planned, scheduling and budgeting for all Receiving, IN Process and Final Inspectors.

Selected training material and procured the necessary training location . Results: Immediate impact on

inspection errors in the first 90 days from a 20% error rate to 6%.

Implemented Baking Soda Blasting equipment for the removal of greases and oil from Belted and

Polished parts prior to going to a standard clean line. Researched, budgeted, reviewed and analyzed

equipment for installation. Result: This eliminated the use of dangerous Passivation acids and hand

scrubbing part. Reduced cleaning chemical to 50% due to only a one time final clean instead of twice to

remove stubborn oils and greases. This also decreased our Lead Time throughput from final Clean to

finished goods 30%-35%.

Oversaw Audit visits from the FDA and ISO for the Manufacturing and Quality departments.

also managed the participation during the audit and increased communication which provided for a very

smooth audit flow.

Directed the training of management and executive staff to repackage return parts during the

knowledge of the seriousness of the recall and to increase their awareness of the level of detail required

to verify packaging and labeling to avoid co-mingling of products, returned from the field. Results:

Streamlined and strengthen the overall process, reducing errors and improving performance.

Operations Management and Supervision

Directed the effort to switch Natural gas providers to Shell Research Center from Houston Power

and Light to Center Point Entergy, due to the aging HP&L underground piping. Initiated contact

Centerpoint to establish time frames for installation of a new Natural gas station and an approximate

switch over time with Houston Power and Light. The time frame was 6 months to install and prep for

switch over. Results: Centerpoint negotiated 10% reduction in CCF cost and the site avoided a shut

down by not having to absorb the cost of a shutdown to remove the aging pipe.

Negotiated a $2.00 across the board hourly rate increase for my contract employees working at
