Employment History:

2005 – 2014 Arena Engineering

My first employee was Arena Engineering as a Fabricator/Welder, where my role included interaction with clients and colleagues from varying backgrounds. Arena Engineering is a family run business, for whom I worked for Nine years. I am given tasks which enable me to use my own initiative and strive for completion. I regularly work with mild steel plate from 3mm to 25mm thick, rolled steel sections and stainless steel sheet. I am also a competent welder, whether using MMA or MIG, on mild or stainless steels.

2014- Present Cammell Lairds Ship repairers & Shipbuilders

Nuvia project; 17th march- mid July

My first project was constructing a rig that nuvia could run tests on. As this project was nuclear work the tolerances I was working to was +/- 1mm. This project involved cutting using band saws, grinders with slitter discs and the use of oxy- acetylene burning equipment. Marking out components to be drilled with mag/base drills. This job was to a high standard with every component scrutinised thoroughly.

Alliance project; mid July 2014- present

I am currently working on the alliance aircraft project my duties so far have been; working on structures from pulling plates together ranging from 6mm thick up to 50 mm thick plate and fitting bulkheads also involved on structures was dogging down girders and fitting carlings.

Outfitting; working on outfitting department involves the making off and fitting off pipe supports and seats. I would be reading and interpreting fabricaion drawings using a range of tools and equipment which I am fully efficient in.
