At Northeastern I studied the origins of human language, minored in American Sign Language, and
graduated with a 3.9 GPA. My degree in Linguistics has made me extremely proficient in the
English language and its grammar. I am a self-starter, excellent at time management and
organization, and am very detailed in my writing and in my life in general.
Work Experience:
Personal assistant to novelist Liza Monroy – 2010-2015
Assisted Ms. Monroy in scheduling appointments, planning her wedding, and preparing television
pitch documents for the development of two of her literary projects. I also aided in editing her
newest novel, “The Marriage Act” and acted as a personal chef and maid. I helped her plan all
holiday events, parties, and book promotions.
Personal assistant to Vanderbilt University family Nashville, TN – 2002 – 2007
Personal assistant to the head of the house, Ms. Elisabeth Ring. Also cared for two children and
acted as a maid for the entire family, keeping clean a three-story home in Nashville. Duties included
cooking, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, sweeping, bathrooms, kitchen cleaning after every meal,
silver polishing, and keeping the family cars tidy. Ms. Ring was a very strict supervisor, but her
expectations of me made me into a very accomplished housekeeper.
