In seven years grew a six person private company to a 45+ person public corporation. Sole accountability for
ensuring implementation and compliance with all human resource regulatory guidelines, to include processes,
record keeping, reporting requirements and ensuring record retention systems are maintained.
Guaranteed that the company complied with federal, state and local legal requirements and advised
management of actions needed. Oversees whistleblower hotline, and investor relation’s communications and
seeks legal counsel when needed.
Established organizational strategies for recruiting talent including writing job descriptions, placing
advertisements, screening resumes, recommending candidates for management review, arranging interviews,
background checks, performing compensation analysis, preparing offer letters, directing full onboarding process
through new hire orientation.
Initiated a 401k program, later partnered with an investment firm to restructure the plan to introduce auto
enroll and company match. This increased participation from 33% to 90%. The plan increased to $2.0 million in
seven years.
Health Insurance was negotiated with providers to determine optimal coverages and cost benefits, once
selected oversaw the full conversion, saving the company 27% and reducing employee out of pocket expenses.
Responsible for exit interviews, employee separation notices, and related documentation needed to ensures that
exit procedures are handled legally and properly.
Administrative & Finance
Managed accounts receivables and payables for the service side of a $125 million publicly held corporation.
Exclusive accountant for client invoicing and receivables, responsible for the payment of national and
international invoices of $11 million a year.
Main Treasury contact with JP Morgan Chase for cash accounts totaling $30 million, initiate the opening of new
checking accounts, review contracts, responsible for wire management and cash transfers, selection of
investment options, reconciles cash accounts, oversee all activity on the banking platform, and reviews all
personal that have access to the online banking systems.
Full responsibility for payroll with yearly compensation of $4 million, for scheduled and non-scheduled pay
cycles. Oversaw the transition from one payroll platform to another, with no loss of data, and added a third
party data transfer option to assist with the new retirement saving plan we introduced.
Administrated and oversaw the real estate side of corporate growth, including sourcing new locations, lease,
sublease and contract negotiations, reviewing architectural drawing, manage remodeling and upgrades to
facilities, source vendors for corporate relocation and secure all services timely and under budget. $100,000 a
year was saved by securing a sublease verses a direct lease, and additionally saved $8,000 a month by subleasing
the space we outgrew.
Conduct ongoing negations with our two corporate insurance agencies to insure adequate protection is met,
including general liability, workers compensation, vehicle coverage, fire, theft, foreign liability, directors and
officer’s coverage.
