• Collaborates with the CMO and Corporate Strategy team to design and implement healthcare projects centered on quality of

care and patient outcomes. This involves compliance with government initiatives and regulations (i.e. Meaningful Use,

PQRS) in addition to behavioral health projects on disease prevention (i.e. hypertension management). Leads research,

proposal preparation and delivery of projects while working with multiple departments, establishing client relations,

facilitating meetings, overseeing metrics/budget/timeline, and presenting summary reports to C-suite members.

• Works closely with Medical Affairs leadership and Legal Counsel to identify and create policy solutions to improve the

• Collaborated with project team leaders, pediatricians and hospital staff to coordinate a NIH-funded, randomized controlled

study that examines the effectiveness of an evidence-based nutrition and physical activity education program targeting

obese children and their families.

• Conducted quality assurance/control measures, performed patient interviews, counseled patients and family members,

coordinated nutrition education sessions, and performed biweekly physical assessments of patients to assess blood pressure,

body mass index, and blood glucose levels.

• Lead an independent research study involving 1607 students enrolled in 11 Bronx secondary schools to analyze the school

food environment and its impact on students’ body mass index (BMI) and dietary patterns.

• Conducted statistical analyses to determine whether certain school food environment characteristics were associated with a

higher BMI as well as dietary patterns related to saturated fat and dietary fiber intake. Presented findings in a scientific

research paper, proposing recommendations for change in efforts to combat childhood obesity.
