NORTHWEST ARKANSAS Currently volunteer as a mentor for Youthbridge.org in NW Arkansas, Served
on the Board of Directors of the Ozark Blues Society of NWA since 2003; served as President (2 terms),
Treasurer and Secretary. Produced music festivals and music education events several times each year since
2003. Worked as advance coordinator, stage manager and booked performing artists for Bikes, Blues & BBQ
and Bikes, Blues & Hot Rods Too for several years. Was presented with the Lifetime Achievement Award at
the 2010 Northwest Arkansas Music Awards, and was inducted into the Arkansas Blues Hall of Fame in 2011.
ROCHESTER, NEW YORK Served two years on Board of Directors, Corn Hill Neighbors Association, as
chair of Philanthropy Committee; also served two years on the Executive Steering Committee for the Corn Hill
Arts Festival which attracts over 250,000 people to the restored Victorian neighborhood. Booked artists and
worked as stage manager for five annual Corn Hill Music and Arts Festivals, in charge of seven music stages
for the two-day festival. Volunteered at Alternatives for Battered Women as Big Sister to children who were
housed in the shelter, and produced the agency’s monthly newsletter.
Performed for 30+ years in pop, rock, blues and jazz bands. Memorable highlights: Featured vocalist at
Jacksonville (Florida) Jazz Festival for a crowd of 100,000; performing with Spyro Gyra in Osaka, Japan;
recording under contract with Sam Phillips at Sun Records; performed in 2008 at the world-famous King
Biscuit Festival in Helena, Arkansas. Local performance highlights include headlining Bikes, Blues & BBQ,
and appearing at various city and blues festival events.
