Dec 2013 – present
Engineer Support Specialist II/Technical Writer. Honeywell Aerospace, Phoenix, Arizona. In the Documentation
and Data Management Department (DDM), I provide templates, guidance, and best practices for critical engineering
documentation and final release of the same, and collaborate with senior writers and customers to provide quality
initial drafts and final contract-compliant documents. Specific responsibilities include supporting engineering in
writing/generation of drafts, and review of engineering documents and diagrams such as acceptance test plans,
procedures, and reports. Responsible for submitting and releasing engineering documents into the electronic document
management system, and coordinating with outside suppliers to submit customer deliverables. Six Sigma Green Belt
Certification awarded May 2014.
Jul 2009 – Nov 2013
Document Manager/Technical Editor. Environmental Planning Group (EPG), LLC, Phoenix, Arizona. Responsible
for quality and cost control of documentation processes and production. Supervised a graphic designer and a technical
editor. Responsible for managing (i.e., technical editing/rewriting, layout, and production) the preparation of
environmental reports (e.g., environmental impact statements, environmental assessments), proposals, letters, and
marketing materials. Wrote and produced the EPG Style Guide, EPG Formatting Guide, and EPG Editor’s Guide for
employee training and use. Implemented the use of advanced features of Microsoft Word to streamline and automate
document production, and conducted training sessions. Created templates using dynamic functions of MS Word to
automatically insert indices, table of contents, lists of tables and figures, captions and cross-references, citations, and
bibliographies. Editing responsibilities included technical reviews of documents and maps for consistency and
adherence to usage conventions; rewriting to improve readability; correcting spelling, grammar, and punctuation; and

Office Manager/Graphic Artist. World Competition Consultants, Maryville, Tennessee. Provided administrative,
graphic, and editorial support to the CEO of a small consulting company specializing in lean manufacturing.
Contributed to overall strategic planning and implementation of company policies and marketing. Edited two business
manuscripts and arranged for their publication. Created brochures and databases, controlled supplies, purchased new
equipment, and reduced expenses by streamlining processes.

customers or ad representatives and production staff.

Project Manager.: Hacker Group, Ltd., Bellevue, Washington. Managing error-free production of direct-response
marketing was my primary task. Responsible for every job from start to finish, ensuring that the mail was produced
correctly, establishing and trafficking schedules, and producing jobs on time and within budget.
Jan 1992 – Oct 1993
Publishing Supervisor and Production/Sales Support Supervisor. United Advertising Publications (For Rent
Magazine), Bothell, Washington. As publishing supervisor, supervised electronic prepress department and maintained
workflow among six team members. Wrote procedural documents for electronic prepress and camera-ready art. Wrote
and produced a biweekly total quality management (TQM) newsletter reporting on the progress of our quality
program. As production/sales support supervisor, supervised five proofreaders and served as customer support
supervisor for account executives in 23 regional offices. As camera-ready coordinator, I saved the company time and
money by converting over 50 percent of the camera-ready ads to electronic publishing in less than 4 months.
