Present
Provide supportive care to patients undergoing acute psychiatric issues, developmental
challenges, medical issues, substance abuse, addiction, dual diagnoses, and trauma through
group and individual music therapy sessions. Building sessions with a treatment team of trained
creative arts therapists focusing on interventions of safety awareness, decreasing isolation,
developing a present centered focus, and identifying healthier ways of coping with patients
experiencing a life threatening crisis.

1000 hour Internship. Facilitated group and individual music therapy sessions for client ages 5
54. Provided a humanistic and sensorial approach through a live music therapy experience for
children, adolescents, and adults with severe physical and cognitive challenges and blindness in
the educational and residential programs. Collaborated with music therapist director to assess
client progress through IEP plans. Participated in IEP meetings and in service training.
Documented goals and objectives for individual clients and client groups, initiated individual
educational plans (IEPs) for two new students. Planned, coordinated, and directed annual spring
show, “This is Our Song”. Mentored practicum student for 30+ hours.
