Worked one on one with developmentally disabled children and adults needing community
support, per the Person Centered Plan. Developed a therapeutic and consistent rapport with the
service recipients, while assisting with leadership initiatives. Completed diverse skill building
activities including socialization skills, wellness education, adaptation skills, daily and
community living skills, work readiness, development of leisure time interests and activities,
symptom management skills, and education on substance abuse.

Supervised the residence and 24-hour staff of a physically disabled individual to provide flexible,
personally customized supports that promoted autonomy, such as learning self-care, daily living
skills, money management, recreation, decision-making, and behavioral management. Duties
included hiring and training staff, scheduling, payroll, working in the individual’s home, and
continuously being on-call to fill in for staff absences. Maintained current certification in CPR,
First Aid, and PIC.
