Medical Laboratory Technologist

Undertake analytical procedures in the disciplines of clinical biochemistry, hematology,

Serology, immunology, microbiology, histopathology, cytology, and blood bank.

Supervise and guide the functions, of lab technicians. Observe and interpret the

morphological features of peripheral blood smears.

Prepare and stain slides for microscopic examination. Perform diagnostic tests on tissues

and body fluids. Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment and instrumentation.

Maintain quality assurance procedures. Collect and /or supervise with specimen

collection.

Undertake pharmaceutical testing and analysis. Supervise duty roster of lab technicians,

maintain the stock register, intend medicines.

Prepare test report based on the analyses and authenticate. Document test samples, test

results and update Patient Database and authenticate. Forward test results to the client /

doctor /Department.
