Duties and Responsibilities
Ensure all merchants are using PCI compliant equipment, shopping carts,
POS, etc initially upon approval and through ongoing review, make sure
each merchant's terminal equipment is stored in VAR, keep an up to date PCI
Compliant terminal list
Ensure all merchants are using and passing their PCI compliance service
(through email and voice communication with agents and merchants)
Ensure all merchants are notified of Visa and MasterCard network rules and
security standards through the emailing of these documents from Visa,
MasterCard, Discover and American Express
Communicate critical card association rules, such as rights to appeal
penalties to merchants, research and communicate with acquirers over
ongoing compliance issues
Monitor merchant URL's for compliance with acquirer and card association
rules
Monitor chargeback rates and fraud rates for compliance with card
association rules
Develop educational press-releases for agents and merchants regarding
developments in the bank card industry
Send notifications of adjustments to terms of service to merchants and
agents
Ensure all new merchant files are completed and stored in VAR
