Accomplishments

This soldier graduated under the title of Honor Graduate during Advanced Individual Training

conducted at the U.S. Army Ordnance Munitions and Electronics Maintenance School, Redstone

Arsenal, Alabama. Individual was awarded the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for

over 2000 hours of community service and partnership within the El Paso area. Soldier was

awarded the Combat Action Badge and the Army Commendation Medal for service while

deployed to Iraq.

94T20 Avenger System Repairer NCO/ Squad Leader

C-RAM Operator

As a leader of soldiers in the U.S. Army, was responsible for the training, mentoring, counseling

disciplining, and the overall health and wellbeing of troops. Maintained, repaired, and supervised

the maintenance and repair of the AN/TWQ-1 Avenger, a SHORAD (Short Range Air Defense)

missile system. Trained soldiers on the Avenger as well as the AN/MPQ 64 Sentinel Air Defense

Radars and their relationship to one another in the Air Defense spectrum of the U.S. Army. Was

responsible for ordering parts; organizing storage of parts and equipment, supervising motor pool

and mechanic bay operations. Conducted technical, combat, and safety training. Lead preventive

maintenance care and services of military vehicles. Dispatched and operated LMTVs, 5 ton

trucks, and Humvees. In Iraq was a vital member of a C-RAM unit working in both the E.O.C.

(Engagement Operations Cell) and the B.D.O.C. (Base Defense Operations Center). Operated the

Forward Area Air Defense computer; Air Missile Defense Workstation, Wireless Audio Visual

Emergency Systems, and Lightweight Counter Mortar Radars within a defensive network

providing area protection for the Forward Operating Bases Victory, Liberty, and Baghdad

International Airport. Conducted several Land Based Phalanx weapons systems live test fires, as

well as engaged and destroyed hostile rockets during attacks made against the base.
