QUALIFICATIONS PROFILE
Analytical, results-oriented, and seasoned engineering professional,
offering solid background in conceptualizing and implementing the entire
network, security, and computer systems within large enterprise network
infrastructure industries. Expert at administering and troubleshooting
complex network LAN/WAN environment. Recognized for leading and
accomplishing all phases of project management; complemented with
multitasking abilities and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple
projects simultaneously. Equipped with in-depth knowledge of routers,
switches, firewalls, VPN, WLC configuration; along with developing network
design presentations for the implementation of network projects. Armed with
exceptional organizational, interpersonal and communication skills; with
exemplary technical adaptability toward new emerging technologies.
CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
V Proficiently reengineered and upgraded campus LAN/WAN with redundant
collapsed core switches and routers at Boeing Santa Susana Field Labs.
Configured and installed the new campus LAN consisting of data, voice,
and wireless; thus providing the customers with a robust, faster, more
reliable and redundant network.
V Executed a new data and voice network at Boeing St. Louis to help
customers save money relating to voice costs and ease of troubleshooting.
V Strategically implemented ASA VPN and setup IPSec tunnel between Boeing
and Lockheed based on customer requirements; thereby allowing Boeing and
Lockheed to exchange critical data over an encrypted tunnel.
V Conceptualized and instituted a needed dedicated GIG link Boeing El
Segundo and Boeing Seal Beach, leading to a massive enhancement of speed
and throughput between Boeing El Segundo and Boeing Seal Beach.
V Reconstructed and applied new campus closed area network including four
distribution switches and server room switches; thus enabling the
customer to transfer from a leased building to a Boeing owned building.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Network Designer ? The Boeing Company- El Segundo, CA Dec 2004(Present
Assume full responsibility in supporting and maintaining Boeing's open area
and closed area campus Local Area Network /Wide Area Network (LAN/WAN)
traversing over fastethernet, GIG ethernet, and 10 GIG ethernet with a
fiber backbone. Oversee the campus WLAN and troubleshoot all LAN/WAN and
WLAN issues; as well as develop technical network proposals and scopes of
work for new projects. Provide assistance to the planning of new data
closets and identify the appropriate amount and type of data equipment
needed for new data closets based on the number of data connections
required. Keenly record changes to the campus LAN/WAN and document and
implement general procedures.
. Spearhead the entire planning, designing, and implementing of changes
to existing networks and new networks; expertly manage projects for
new network implementations.
. Configure Cisco routers and switches to support data and VoIP running
TCP/IP in a multiple routing protocol environment such as EIGRP, and
OSPF.
. Ensure high level of customer satisfaction by designing and executing
customized customer networks per customer requirements and design and
implement changes to the existing customer networks.
. Efficiently configure and install routers and switches with SVIs,
VLANs, HSRP, VRFs, QOS and multicast technology; as well as Cisco ASA
firewalls and VPNs.
. Develop access lists on routers and ASA firewalls; as well as update
access lists on routers and ASA firewalls as necessary.
. Utilize NA, NNMi, WCS, and Solarwinds as network and WLAN monitoring
and maintenance tools.
. Configure and setup LANs and test equipment consisting of PCs and Unix
workstations for satellite testing.
Senior Network Engineer ? Computer Sciences Corp - El Segundo, CA Aug
1996(Dec 2004
Rendered third level support for Boeing's open area and closed area campus
LAN/WAN and CSC Corp. which was run over ethernet, fastethernet, GIG
ethernet and Frame Relay. Utilized HP OpenView and Cisco Works as network
monitoring and maintenance tools; along with Microsoft Word and Excel to
produce documentation and Spreadsheets; and Visio to produce network
topology drawings.
. Strategically created plans and designs for changes of existing
networks and for new networks.
. Authored technical network proposals for new projects and troubleshot
all technical issues.
. Configured Cisco routers and switches with protocols which included
TCP/IP, IPX, APPLETALK and DECNET in a multiple routing protocol
environment such as EIGRP, OSPF, and RIP.
. Analyzed, constructed and installed Cisco local directors, created
access lists and configure NAT on routers as well as executed changes
to access lists on routers and PIX firewalls as required
. Implemented Cisco routers and switches using VLANs, HSRP and multicast
technology when network requirements dictate
