Regional HR Business Partner / Sr Consultant for District Energy company servicing Philadelphia, Trenton & Baltimore districts plus units

from NYC to Atlanta. Provide HR support to senior management in labor and employee relations, general HR activities including

recruitment, performance management, benefits, policy and procedures with the objective of increasing moral, employee, management and

organizational effecticeness. Involved with 3 unions in Philadelphia (IBEW), Trenton (IUOE), and Pittsburgh. Coached business leaders,

managers and employees to improve performance by actively managing performance issues to resolution.

HR Consultant / Director of Human Resources – Honor Foods, Philadelphia, PA 06/2011 to 06/2012

Interim HR Director for regional food service company during a management reorganization. Responsible for labor and employee relations

operation. A unit of $7.5B Precision Castparts Corporation. Major emphasis on maintaining non-union status.

• Handled 4 unfair labor practice claims from NLRB, resolving all claims without any financial penalty.

• Managed certication campaign with International Machinists union. Union withdrew petition.

• Conducted employee opinion survey throughout all shifts – maintaining non-union status.

• Recruited over 150 new hires in 12 month period, including skilled machinists and other exempt personnel.

• Accountable for all labor relations activities including contract negotiations (1800 union employees). Negotiated long-term labor

agreements (First Chair) of 5 yr duration with total increase less than 2% annually. Managed contract interpretation including grevance

and arbitrations. Advised plant management in all applications of labor agreement. Managed union campaign in Mexico.

• Restructed group health benefits reducing costs by $1,250K annually. Saved $6.5M is post-retirement medical costs.

• Resolved all EEOC and state agency claims without any signicant financial impact.

• Agressively managed Worker Comp claims. Reduced lost time injuries and days away from work. Managed WC reserves and

OSHA compliance requirements, reducing claims and reserves by 2.5%.
