PROJECTS
. Designing of assembly line station in order to modify the existing
assembly line due to depleting demands of VE pumps. New line design
ensured better resource utilisation. Resource utilisation percentage
increased from existing 31% to 53%.
. Material handling improvement in Heat Treatment area of the plant.
Designed a VSE (Value Stream Extended) for current state mapping in
order to find out the waste and potential improvements. Improvement in
material handling maturity index was by 40%.
. Production study to improve the output by eliminating waste with
coordination of respective manufacturing department. We were able to
improve the production to required target.
. Quick Changeover Project: It aimed at reducing the setup time by
proper designing of the process, tool modification and 5S improvement
at the station. It resulted in 33% reduction in setup time.
. Ergonomics validation & Improvement: Ergo checks were done for all the
stations of plant and were followed by ergonomics improvement at major
non-compliant stations.
. Major academic project on "Fabrication of Hydraulic Braking System".
REWARDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS
. Paper presentation in National Conference on "Energy, Materials &
Communication Systems" (EMCS-2013) held on March 16-17, 2013.
. Won first prize in "CADD BATTLE" held at Suresh Gyan Vihar University,
Jaipur.
