I have over fifteen years of kitchen and chef experience as well as several years of leadership knowledge.
As owner of my own catering business, Cooking to Perfection, I have learned to work well in pressure
situations and regularly use my creativity to prepare elegant meals at minimal cost and within time
constraints.
As my resume indicates, I have performed all duties within a fine dining establishment. I have
personally hired the staff, organized kitchens, established stock levels; handle food orders while
implementing cost controls to stay within budget. My daily duties include checking the quality and
quantity of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. I monitor sanitation practices
to ensure that employees follow regulatory guidelines. I supervise and coordinate activities of others
engaged in food preparation. I also inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas ensuring conformance to
established standards.
I have extensive experience in menu preparation and I use a creative approach to create unique and
appealing dishes. I enjoy mentoring less experienced employees as well as interacting with customers
and ensuring they are pleased with the quality, presentation and taste of their meals.
Most recently, I worked directly with Chef Paul Oshea at the Hyatt Hotel Atlanta Midtown. I am
