• Clinical Apps: Collaborate with executive team to assess feasibility, determine cost
vs. benefits, prioritize projects and develop and implement systems plan that address the
information requirements of the organization. Research potential technology solutions
and implementation in support of new initiatives. Define and communicate project
milestones, SLAs, and resource allocation to management, staff and end users. Work
with Hybrid of technical and clinical resources, physicians, nurses to support
applications and workflows.
• Electronic Patient Consenting: Spearheaded risk management project to replace
inefficient paper consenting with Electronic Patient Consent system across three
facilities. Organized activities into manageable work packages team members and
determining effective approaches to completing overall work. Ensured appropriate time,
resources, and sequencing of the work efforts were aligned to produce the desired
objective within a given period of time. Result: Quick access to consenting; complying
with for Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), and avoiding possible
citations for consent mismanagement.
• Infection Control (Vigilanz Insight): Executed implementation of Infection Control
system for all medical campuses. Monitored and controlled project schedules activities
to minimize intra-project resource conflict and critical path. Collaborated with vendor
and in-house IT resource to fulfill HL7 requirements of clinical data from EMR to
Vigilanz system. Result: The project was delivered on-time with no drainage in time,
quality, or scope creep.
• CMS Patient Surveys (Avatar): Managed and implemented Joint Commissions
regulated patient survey system for the hospital. Replaced PRC patient survey system
with Avatar for the 1500+ licensed-bed hospital. Provide guidance and system training
to Clinical Directors and Nurse Managers. Result: Empowering health managers to
monitor and take proactive steps to raise satisfaction scores for the health system.
• Business Analytics PI: Oversee hospital’s quality performance improvement (PI)
programs and strategic projects. Establish data trend, perform ad-hoc analysis, and
extract clinical and financial data for the hospital strategic scorecards. Analyze
hospital’s Unit-based, Service Line, and Monthly operating data to determine
underperformed quality and safety disciplines. Result: Clinical division heads are now
well equipped to determine their shortfalls in quality areas and make improvement plans
to enhance patient quality care.
• Quality and Patient (Quantros Suite): Managed planning and implementation of
$900,000 Quantros Suite application for Quality division involving IT, clinical analyst,
and project champions. Organized activities into manageable work packages for
division/facility team members and determined effective approach to completing project
work. Result: Achieved workflow efficiencies in Accreditation and Compliance, Core
Measures, and Behavioral Health disciplines. Created accurate and prompt reporting
structure for clinical heads to review and make difference in patient care.
• Workflow Process & Security: Perform ongoing information risk assessment and
audits to ensure that information systems are adequately protected and meet HIPAA
security rules. Review business process and information security to help provide

•Physician Credentialing: Implemented Enterprise Physician Credentialing system for
Jackson’s three facilities. Directed project efforts to plan, test, implement, monitor, and
handover flow of Physician feeds to Cerner system via HL7 messaging process. Result:
Eliminated stack of papers for physicians’ credential verification. Saved thousands of
dollars, enabled clinicians for prompt credential verification.
•Occupational and Physical therapy (Medilink): The project required development of
clinical workflows and customization for Rehabilitation department. Reviewed project
charter, refined scope, calculated risk, and assessed overall impact; practiced “train-the-
trainer” approach. Result: By following and implementing Project Management
methodologies, the project resulted in completion a month earlier without compromising
project scope.
• Report to Web: Planned and implemented reporting of clinical, financial, and
administrative for Jackson facilities electronically. Result: The application generated
thousands of reports daily via intranet resulted in prompt reporting access and thousands
of dollars in paper savings.
