Responsible for accounting for the UC (Unaccompanied Child) who came in and out of the shelter. I helped check all their belongings as they came into the shelter. I helped monitor the phone calls. Assisted with case management. I helped monitor the children and worked one on one with them. I helped in the kitchen when needed. I assisted the clinicians with the case files and maintaining the place organized. I also helped in the medical part of the shelter. Among other things they needed assistance with. I was flexible as far as where I was put.

Responsible for the family based programs. I dealt with the following cases: Deferred Action, Refugees, Naturalization, Temporary Protective Status, travel documents, petitions, work permits, and Citizenship. I was responsible for helping students in elementary, middle and high school get a better understanding of how college life is like. I assisted with tutoring and mentoring. I helped them with any homework questions they had. They stayed in the dorms and attended daily courses. I was responsible for one particular group. This was a summer camp through College Conexion. We provided them with a better understanding on how to enroll, how to study, apply and what to expect once you are in college.

Responsible for providing childcare services for families. Took care of kids ranging from the age of 4 Months to 12 years of age. Activities with the kids included and consisted of taking them out to eat, go see movies, getting them ready for school in the mornings, taking them to several school and sporting events, playing at the park, taking walks, baking, cooking, taking them swimming. Activities were also included on the weekends. Also provided a positive learning environment helped them with some homework.
