Dear Human Resource Representative,
I believe that my eighteen years experience in retail with my Bachelor of Business Administration
degree in Accounting could assist your company in achieving its goals. During my career, I have had
the opportunity to work my way up the career ladder, enabling me the understanding of many
different levels of sales, management and the ability to increase profits.
As a General Manager and my previous knowledge as a District Training Manager, I have been able
to accomplish many different objectives that have allowed me to be successful in my career and
achieve sales goals and profits in the best interest of my company. In addition, I have had the
pleasure of working for the PVH Corporation for seventeen years, before G.H. Bass & Co. was sold
to A.M. Retail in November of 2013. As previously mentioned I had begun working with PVH Corp
as a sales associate and within six years my hard work and dedication rewarded me with a position as
a General Manager. Two years following my General Manager Promotion, I was granted another
opportunity as the District Training Manger for the PVH Corporation.
While my experience with G.H. Bass & Co. has been positive, I feel this is the ideal time for me to
advance my career as a District Sales Manager. Working as a General Manager in conjunction to
being a District Training Manager has enhanced the analytical and leadership skills necessary to be a
District Sales Manager. Therefore, I am seeking out new opportunities that will enable me to utilize
the skills that I have possessed over the past several years, coupled with my degree in Accounting,
and build upon new ones that will bring me to new career prospects.
I feel that my people oriented approach and my strong communication skills are characteristics that
can benefit your organization. I am confident that the enthusiasm and experience I can bring to your
company, along with any new challenges you are able to provide will be an asset in achieving your
objectives.
I would appreciate hearing from you regarding any existing or future openings you may have and
welcome the opportunity to meet with you. Thank you for your time and consideration. I look
forward to hearing from you.
Respectfully,
Donald Branker, III
