hands-on experience in mining and civil industry. Over 6 years experience in open pit and

underground mining and large civil construction projects. Demonstrated strengths in

communication skills, operations optimization, time management, project development and

safety compliance with the ability to work in challenging conditions and flexible to work in

various shifts. Exceptional problem solving and communication skills with expertise in :

Field work and site investigations Numerical modeling

Geomechanical rock characterization Slope stability analysis

In-situ and laboratory geotechnical tests Analysis of instrumentation records

Designing drill and blast patterns Open pit and underground mine design

WORK EXPERIENCE

2008 - 2014 General Mechanic Company Tehran, Iran

+45,000 Employees (Mining and Construction Company)

Rock Mechanics Engineer

2010 – 2014 Tazareh Coal Mining Project $1.1 billion budget

Performed geotechnical stability analysis using numerical modeling software such as

UDEC and FLAC in order to optimize pit slopes and tailing ponds.

Installation of geotechnical monitoring instrumentations such as inclinometers,

extensometers, piezometers, thermistors and analysis of instrumentation records.

Performed geotechnical in-situ and laboratory tests including in-situ direct shear test,

specific gravity, plate-loading test, flat jack test, hydraulic fracturing, permeability test,

uniaxial and tri-axial tests and interpreted the results and prepared geotechnical reports.

Open pit and U/G mine design and optimization using Minesight and Gemcom software

Performed geotechnical logging on drill core including core and joint orientation, RQD,

RMR and magnetic susceptibility Achievement.

Designed drilling and blasting Patterns on the field by working with the foreman as well

as drillers and blasters considering all safety measures and technical issues.

Geological mapping of open pit slope and performed geotechnical analysis utilizing

RocScience software including Dips, Slide, Swedge, Rocdata and Rocplane and

proposing effective measures of treatments for each type of failure.

Ensure all procedures are in place for safe, productive and a high quality of work.

Coordinate with other departments and subcontractors, and liaise with government

agencies, consultants and suppliers as required and mining cost estimation.

Monitoring mine ventilation and air quality at working sites throughout the mine.

Rock Mechanics Engineer

2008 – 2010 Alborz Tunnels Construction Project $2.1 billion budget

Provided stability analysis of Alborz twin tunnels utilizing Rock Mass Classification

systems and numerical modelling software (FLAC3D, FLAC, UDEC).

Design and execution of different type of tunnel support including wire mesh, rock bolts,

steel ribs, shotcrete, forepoling and pipe roofing.

gravity, RDP test and mix proportion experiment to control quality of shotcrete support.

Designed cost effective drilling and blasting patterns. Instigated change from bagged to

bulk explosive and negotiated for an explosive to be prepared at site which resulted in

a 15% saving in handling costs and favourable pricing.

Optimum and maximize machine operating (Jumbo Drill, Shotcrete Machine, Rock bolt

Machine, Truck and loader).

Geological mapping and documentation of the ground conditions at each sequence of

excavation (heading, bench).

Achieve client satisfaction for suitable rate and finished 6000 ft of tunnel in one year.

Interpreted the lab and in-situ test results and prepared geotechnical reports.

Performed ventilation and dewatering systems including pumping and grouting options.
