Atlantic region serving Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware and Maryland.

Assigned to position after corporate restructuring and successfully
managing the Hyster forklift rental division for ten years as Director of
Rentals and Rental Manager. Responsible for managing rental operations for
fifteen repositioned branch locations with a rental fleet consisting of
2200 key assets (3500+ overall) with original equipment value of $70M+
consisting of $23M in Hyster forklift assets and $50M+ of construction
assets.
o Developed and generated asset yield performance indicators showing poorly
executed construction equipment leases and trade packages, non-
centralized purchase strategy, poor equipment mix, lack of disposition
strategy, deficient sales coverage, and lack of market forecasting and
trends.
o Promoted operational efficiencies resulting in immediate expense
reductions of $350,000.
o Developed sales initiatives resulting in increased same year performance
including Preferred Renter Program, Target Account Recovery Program,
Rental Coordinator Spiff and new coverage strategies.
o As a result of the failing economy and unrecoverable losses in the
construction division, Senior Management executed a disposition action
plan. This resulted in the sale of $45M of underwater leased construction
assets and $10M+ of owned assets. This plan resulted in Modern's exit
from the construction rental business resulting in 200+ layoffs over time
and the elimination of my position.
