• Provided one-on-one solution based professional career counseling services to individuals of varying skills,abilities and backgrounds regarding career development and decision making process, geared toward the hidden job market and posted positions. • Spearheaded intensive work readiness program, including cover letter writing, resume and
interviewing, and maintained follow up with caseload of 300+ through ongoing comprehensive
individual career counseling sessions.
• Maintained proper documentation for caseload, including timely manual and electronic documentation, specifically progress notes, treatment plans, assessments and reports, required for contractual compliance.
• Facilitated, evaluated and analyzed career assessments and interest inventories designed to identify career development goals and assist decision-making, as well as employment and educational goals. Simultaneously addressing and resolving obstacles interfering with success. Assessment included Self Directed Search (SDS)
and Holland Hexagon, and incorporating JobZone, O*Net and related sites into comprehensive individual action plan, including community resource referrals to maintain focus. Created targeted resumes accordingly.
• Conducted Diagnostic Vocational Evaluation (DVE) for ACCES-VR referred clients. Interpreted paper and pencil assessments, and composed results and recommendations into narrative for case conference presentations in creation of Individual Employment Plans in collaboration with ACCES-VR.
• Created multiple programs involving Customized Employment DISCOVERY strategies and work readiness program workshops for clients with varying mental health issues in preparation for customized competitive employment and/or educational training designed to improve daily living skills, independence and wellness.
• Liaison to clients regarding pre-and post-interview, follow-up and ongoing career exploration throughout job search and career development process.
• Participated in varying committees both internally and within the business community, chambers of commerce, and local agencies designed to foster reciprocal services benefiting student’ career specific needs.
