Providence Hospital - HIV Testing Program (September 2012-May 2014)
Health Promotions Intern
• Coordinate rapid HIV testing program, including finding appropriate venues for testing,
provision of HIV rapid tests, pre- and post-test counseling, and data collection.
• Serve as main contact with community-based organizations and other venues seeking
HIV rapid testing.
• Ensure that venues seeking HIV testing are serving populations at high risk of acquiring
HIV.
• Serve as counselor for 5-7 clients at a time in the CLEAR intervention, collect necessary
data and submit clients’ files to Prevention Project.
