My duties included high volume email and phone communication with the
clients, meeting with clients throughout the day explaining their transactions,
updating all parties weekly with detailed status reports via email, ordered
required inspection reports, receipted funds, balanced credits and debits, paid
off liens, disbursed funds, working with timelines set in contracts, followed
guidelines set by the State of California, audited files and completed the daily
banking. I was laid off due to restructuring of the company when the long term
manager resigned.
Escrow Officer, Level II, Landsafe Title Co; Pasadena, CA - 2009-2010 and 2012-
2013 (temporary work)
I was one of 6 in a highly busy unit closing residential real estate transactions. I
received loan documents from lenders, audited files, heavy phone volume, data
input, audited files, prepared documents for customer signings, returned
documents per lender requirements, requested and obtained funds, balanced
and closed the files, paid off liens and communicated via email, an average of
150 per day. I transitioned from thick paper folders to paperless, uploading and
transferring information for up to 250 files per month. I sought permanent
employment as the department was being shut down.

I was responsible for obtaining my own clients, communicating via phone, fax,
email and in person, followed the guidelines set by the State of California, updat-
ing all parties with detailed weekly status reports, ordering required inspection
reports, meeting timelines and following instructions set out in the contracts, re-
questing funds, balancing files, paying liens, disbursing funds at closing.
