Medical Records Clerk. I am in charge of pulling any charts requested by
the doctors, supervisors, or counselors, to be seen or transferred to
another jail. I also have to go up to the housing area to pick up any sick
call slips inmates may put in requesting to get scheduled to be seen by
doctors, social workers and/or nurses at their request. I have to file some
paperwork into charts and scan any new paperwork into the electronic
medical records program for any inmates without charts. Once paperwork is
scanned in I then have to shred them to ensure patient information doesn't
get out. At times if there are any add on outside hospital visits I have to
ensure that everything is properly written up and taking to security to
make sure the inmate makes it to his appointment on time.

I was in control of the soups for the Day. This consisted of pulling soups
from walk in, setting up the steam table, ensuring that soups were up to
temp before serving and remains that way throughout the day. Washing dishes
if needed. I had to constantly be on top of things in order to ensure a
quality product. Also at times I was needed to help as a cashier, prepare
sandwiches and/or prep different things for the day!
