Summary
Being a DNS has brought me achievements in both my personal and
professional lives. Professionally my skills have improved with dealing
with people who are in need of care and understanding. Meeting
different people, in many walks of life, has increased my ability to
understand others and to listen to them and be empathetic to their needs.
Speaking in front of a large group was a weak point however I am not
longer weak in that area.

Career History and Accomplishments
Prestige Care
Working as a Traveling RCM I have found that the issues
or questions that I have had are the same questions and issues
someone else has and I can assist in answering those questions that
they have. Networking with others has increased my ability to
understand others jobs and what they do and how they do things.
Liberty Country Place Feb 2012 to Aug 2014
Working as a Clinical Reimbursement Nurse I achieved higher rug levels
on Medicaid MDSs. I learned to work with HMO’s to bring the care that
the resident need and have reimbursement for the facility. My greatest
achievement is knowing with bringing up the reimbursement rates the
resident’s lives will be improved with better staffing and better care.
My employment of being a Clinical Reimbursement Nurse my duties
expanded to include being a Resident Care Manager. I have to say my
greatest personal achievement in this role was not having any citations
from survey in my area.
Completing Event Reports have been challenging to me in the past but
with hard work I have achieved the ability to finish them in a timely
manner and have them pass multiple reviews with minimal revisions.
We recently went to the Electronic Medical Records. With hard
work the staff achieved the ability to work with it. Embracing the
new concepts I am one of the few staff members others would
come and ask questions about the program and how it works.

Empress Health Care/Evergreen Health Care 1997 to 2012
I came into the facility and worked hard on obtaining a high
•
standard of care for the resident’s. Working alongside my staff we
brought the infection rate most times to under 10% during the month.
The turnover rate of employees were high when I came in and we
dropped it to a very low level. Completing MDS’s I
achieved a high reimbursement rate.

Evergreen Centralia –

While working for Evergreen Centralia I achieved many
•
professional and personal achievements. I worked hard and learned
many new items while being a Resident Care Manager so much so
that I was promoted to being the Director of Nursing. At this time I
worked with different people and had a successful building. I
supervised a total staff of 45 and had very low turnover. I was asked
to go to another facility when this facility closed due to flooding.
