Steiner,
Disney Wonder,

Assistant and Senior
therapist
I worked within a team of 25 other therapists from many different countries with a
range of cultural differences. Within this role I showed consistent enthusiasm,
professionalism and excellent customer service skills to fit the needs of a 6* spa.
I fulfilled the general duties and responsibilities of a therapist from being on time
and prompt for each appointment also supporting the needs of the spa and the
guest. Along side this I also assisted the manager in ensuring standards and
procedures were adhered to. Efficient operation of stock was recorded and
maintained. Establishing staff schedules for the next voyage, monitoring and
managing the staff time recording system. Assisting staff in completing personal
and spa administrative reports.
January 2012 - May 2013
In
House Training,
Beauty Therapy Level 3 Lecturer.
I work within a diverse, multi-cultural training centre, as a course tutor
teaching Beauty Therapy to level 3 students on apprenticeships and a fast
track course. This is a new course to In House Training as they have
never delivered the level 3 course. My role is to produce a scheme of
work and lesson plans embedding functional skills, equality and diversity
and safeguarding as well as resources to suit the units to be delivered.
Regular tutorial sessions are necessary to keep up to date with the
students and ensure they are working on target. Lessons I deliver are
both, theory and practical covering all level 3 units. I have language
barriers with some learners as English is not their first language; this
requires excellent communication skills, patience and creative ways of
teaching so that all learners gain equal knowledge and experience.

I work at Kirklees College as a Beauty Therapy Lecturer, teaching level 1 2

communication skills to complete a full consultation with the client and
understand contra-indications, how to deal with them and other available
treatments to offer and follow treatment routines, techniques and methods

encourage students to link consultation and treatments to retail products to
boost retail skills.
Not only does this job role include working with students but I am expected
to work within a team to maintain standards and share good practice.
As part of being a lecturer I have to continually gain professional
development by keeping up to date with new products, equipment and
treatments used within the industry.
