Cost Accounting & Financial Reporting for Corn Milling Manufacturing facility servicing 15+customers and
100+ vendors sourced from 6 different product lines.
• Worked with engineers and department heads to budget projected maintenance ($32M) and service ($12M)
cost for upcoming fiscal year. Used budget analysis tools to calculate future costs.
• Reported out to reliability coordinators weekly maintenance budget forecasts for the week/month.
• Write commentary for Business Unit leaders to review the state of the business.
• Supervised summer intern, through weekly progress reports, professional development, mentorship, and
coaching.
• Reconciled site balance sheet monthly/quarterly/annually averaging $25M. Lead pre-close cost analysis for
all non-product line accounts as an internal control measure to ensure accuracy of account classifications.
• Conducted Balance sheet audits with peer review teams to analyze capital assets, review processes, and
ensure appropriate internal controls were in place. Also shared best practices across different facilities with
our business.
• Audit, Reconcile, and Amortize approximately $15M of chemical inventory monthly after communicating
with department heads on the chemical change-outs throughout the facility affecting purity and pH levels in
products. Complete unit of measure conversions to receive chemicals into our payment system at the correct
rates.
• Conduct monthly/quarterly/annual inventory counts to keep our inventory sub-systems balanced with our
actual on-hand inventory averaging $8M.
• Verified all rate modifications with negotiated contracts from all of our time reported contracting companies.
As an internal control, checked for validity of contracts and inactivated all old rates.
• Support accounts payable staff by creating purchase orders, material requisitions, and miscellaneous
purchase requests to pay our vendors.

• Calculated weekly expense accruals, input the figures in the ledger accounts using JDE (our General Ledger
