2007 as In-charge of Smelter operations

. Successfully increased the smelting furnace up-time through operational

modifications and:

o Eliminated the accretion jamming in smelting furnace waste heat boiler

and thus enhance its availability

o Increased the matte/slag transfer launder life

o Removed the fluctuations in the furnace fuel systems (pulverized fuel

coal) for the lance

o Formulation of operations for smelting and converting furnaces

o Commissioning & subsequent ramp up of new smelter to designed anode

production capacity (300, 000tons per year) in 2 months

o Stabilization of converter operations at increased capacity of new

smelter such as from 5.5 blows per day to 8.5 blows per day

o Increase in overall anode production capacity from 1,45, 000 tons per

year

. Played a pivotal role as the Coordinator for the implementation of ISO

14001
