PROJECT DETAILS
TITLE: INVESTIGATION ON NATURAL FIBRE BASED REINFORCED
COMPOSITE MATERIALS
OBJECTIVE: In this present work,untreated bast-roselle fibre
with different proportion was used as reinforcements to polymer based
matrices.The aspect ratios of the fibres are maintained as 15cm constantly
for all fibre contents.The natural fibers roselle are fabricated with
polyester resin using molding method.The fibres was arranged either in
unidirectional continuous fibre.The experimental resulting roselle with
polyester resin composites were found to be higher with tensile elongation
of 7.182%,flexural elongation of 2.25%,impact strength of 0.8 joules,and
water absorption of 2.17%, Among these four materials(5%,10%,15%),15% is
found to be best.
