Responsibilities
. Understanding the functioning of instruments, such as splicing tools &
test measurements tools, OTDR (Optical Time domain Reflectometer).
. Study of in house fiber types, and the competitors' product
compatibility.
. Engaging in data fetching and analysis to support quality assurance team
as per the customers requirement and study of data required for updating
application notes.
. Establishing communications links of spools in patch panel and EDFA's
(Erbium doped fiberamplifier).
. Testing of Optical Fiber Spools using Laser source and power meter.

. Experimental Study of Optical Fiber (April 2014- In progress)
The objective of this project was to measure and analyze the behavior on
samples with the data of fiber cutoff, cable cutoff and mode field
diameter of G.652 D product type fibersamples.
. Mat lab based program to optimize Spectral loss of Optical fiber(Dec 2013
- March 2014)
Study of total spectral loss in optical fibers and development of a Mat
lab based code for characterization of different types of losses, and
analyzing individual loss components using Marquardt equation.
. Performance testing of Optical Fiber (Dec 2013)
The objective of this project was to measure fiber cutoff and mode field
diameter of G.655 (DOF) fibersamples
. Splice Loss & Performance testing of Optical Fiber (Feb 2013 - Nov 2013)
o Splice loss testing of fibres with different MFD (Mode field
diameter) values and comparison of splice losses for different
fiber type's viz. G.652D Standard/ Enhanced, G.657A1/A2 Standard/
Enhanced & G.655 type.
o Conducted a case study on splice losses for competitive analysis of
Fujikura, Corning, YOFC, and Sumitomos' fiberwith Sterlite's fibre.
Testing of different types of patch cords, communication ports for
their connectivity. Splicing of patch cords with fiberspools
required to establish communication link.
o Familiar with different types of connectors used in fiber patch
cords as well as utp i.e. SC, FC, LC, RJ45 etc.
o Familiar with different techniques of optical fiber cable
jointing(T-joint Straight joint), ODF splicing
. Study of measurement techniques involved in testing the optical
parameters of fiber(Jan 2013 - Feb 2013)
M.I.T., Aurangabad
. Microcontroller based Pranayam timer: Project included performing
Yogasan (Pranayam) using an automatic timer that was pre-adjusted
according to the step included in the breathing exercise.
. RFID based security System: Radio Frequency Identification based access
control system allowed only authorized person to enter a particular area
of an establishment.
