Research Project 2: “Validation of candidate genes identified in a targeted shRNA screen that are important

for melanoma progression”.

● Cultured 293T and WM9 melanoma cell lines, carried out Transfection of 293T cells with Rac I and Rab II clones.

● Infected WM9 melanoma cell line with shRNA lentiviral particles, validation of knockdown efficiency by Western Blot.

Carried out MTT assay to assess cell viability after knockdown of the candidate genes

●Carried out MTT assay to assess cell viability of shRNA construct infected WM9 cells, validation of protein

expression by Western Blot.

●Quantified gene expression levels through Real time-PCR (qPCR).
