Client is one of the biggest food packaging companies in the United States. The project’s scope is

implementation of different SAP modules to eanble the business processes.

Role: Snigdhodeep is responsible for rolling out PP modules in different plants of the company. His

key responsibilities are: understanding the business processes of different plants, gap analyses,

configure system to enable specific production related functions, co ordinate master data collection

and support the system for the plants that have gone live.

Client is the second largest beer company in the United States. Project objectives included global

process design and capability transformation of a global supply chain planning solution including

demand planning, supply network planning, production planning, detailed scheduling, materials

planning.

Role: Snigdhodeep was responsible for designing and preparing the blueprint of detailed scheduling.

Worked with the business users and studied the existing processes, gathered business and functional

requirements and carried out fit gap dispositioning, designed the ‘to be’ detailed processes, and

prepared the functional specifications for the identified gaps. He also worked on cross functional and

integration areas such as warehouse, materials planning, make to deploy etc. As a part of

deliverables, he also prepared documentation on baseline configuration for PPDS.

Client is a leading provider of flow equipment products, systems and services to worldwide oil, gas

and process industries. The client works with drilling contractors, oil and gas producers, pipeline

operators, refiners and other process owners to control, direct, adjust, process, measure and

compress pressure and flows.

The business of the client is currently run on two SAP systems: The legacy SAP system and a new

SAP system where 2/3rd of the business has already been migrated. Now there is a joint venture with

another company where certain plants in the legacy system would be subjected to curve outs resulting

in new enterprise structure. The objective of this project was to carry out an impact analysis of this

enterprise structure change on the new SAP system, carry out required configurations in the new

system, and provide support.

Role: His scope of the impact analysis included Production Planning, Engineering and Supply Chain

Planning (SAP APO) and any FRICEW objects in these process areas. Snigdhodeep studied the new

system, changes in the enterprise structure and carried out the impact analysis. He documented his

observations, analyses and conclusions which can be used as templates for similar requirements in

future.

One of the largest global Indian pharmaceutical players, with operations spread across India, US,

Mexico and Europe. The revenues of 2011 were US $1.7 bn with a CAGR of ~ 21% over the last

decade. There are 3 lines of business – generics (71%), pharma services & APIs (26%), proprietary

products (3%).

Client had been looking for a permanent solution for automated optimized production scheduling.

Deloitte implemented SAP APO PPDS module in order to achieve an automated and efficient

production schedule resulting in higher production volume.

Role: The plant for which scheduling was designed is FDA approved. As a result there are stringent

rules and regulations making the scheduling more complex. Snigdhodeep and his team had developed

completely new custom algorithms in order to meet those mandatory requirements and also optimized

the scheduling in order to increase the throughput of the plant. He had also developed a tool for

managing and maintaining production related data which are being used for production schedules and

reports.

He worked on an interface that communicates to a third party tool. This third party tool is used to guide

the entire supply chain using Theory of Constraints (ToC) principles.

Prior to this project, Snigdhodeep worked on a Proof of Concept (PoC) for 2 months and evaluated

how PPDS tool would help client achieve a better production scheduling. He analyzed the existing

production processes based on the data from the live system. He identified the areas which required

immediate attention to improve the processes. The success of this PoC helped Deloitte to win the

implementation project.

One of the leading producers of edible oils and bio diesels in India.

The project scope included implementation of specific SAP modules: Production Planning (PP PI),

Quality Management, Controlling, and HR payroll

Role: Snigdhodeep led the project team. He himself implemented PP and QM modules.

He designed specific functions such as planning of materials, shop floor management. He developed

an effective tool that captures Quality data of oils at any point during production. This customized tool

also generates reports, controlling significantly the quality parameters of oils under process. He built

up a custom tool that compares the quality parameters of the oils before dispatch and those after

return in order to control pilferage. Snigdhodeep also introduced a new convention of batch

management which enables a better tracking of movement of oils when sold as bulk or packaged

product.

Snigdhodeep also participated in the profit center and production cost center restructuring, product

cost controlling in this assignment in order to meet management’s requirement.

The client is a 100% export oriented international joint venture company. It is a leading fertilizer

producer in Bangladesh.

The project involved implementation of Budget Controlling System (BCS) in SAP and integration of

this module with BPC.

Role: Snigdhodeep implemented budget controlling system for all the business processes: Purchase

(service, assets, maintenance equipment, raw materials etc.), in house production, sales and Projects.

In this project Snigdhodeep had designed an automated alert procedure where the department heads

would receive an alert email whenever the budget is exceeded for that given department.

The client is India’s largest food product marketing organization with annual turnover more than US$2

billion. It is the largest exporter of dairy products in India. Its daily milk procurement is approx. 12

million liters (peak period) per day from 15,712 village milk cooperative societies, 17 member unions

covering 24 districts, and 3 million milk producer members.

This was an advisory project which included the review of the SAP system post Go Live.

Role: Snigdhodeep reviewed the APO system implemented by another vendor. The scope included

Demand Planning (DP) and Supply Network Planning (SNP).

Snigdhodeep highlighted the gaps in the system based on the detailed analysis and feedback from the

business users. He pointed out that the supply planning run takes place based on cost optimization

whereas the business requirement was to distribute the supply plan across the production units as

evenly as possible. Moreover he also identified certain missing processes in the system such as alert

monitoring, safety stock planning, like modeling, promotion planning etc.

The client is the largest container glass packaging solution provider in India occupying nearly 55% of

the market share.

The project was on reviewing the existing processes of materials management.

Role: Snigdhodeep worked as a team member in this assignment. He pointed out that certain major

requirements were not fulfilled by the existing system. For example, Request for Quotation, Evaluation

of the vendors in terms of delivery, Dunning letters, Purchase Order acknowledgement etc. were not

being supported by the system. He also highlighted the fact that the system lacked controls as a result

of which there were huge number of duplicate vendors and materials, material to material transfers

leading to financial losses.

This project involved end to end implementation of SAP solution.

conducted business user workshops and prepared comprehensive manuals for the end users in order

to help them with system transactions.

He had customized the planning strategy in order to meet the requirements in the materials planning.

He also implemented different functionalities of PP such as MRP area, Rounding profile, control on

goods movement with respect to process orders, etc.

He also devised a method in order to automatically capture the actual power consumption by the

machines at the time of confirming machine hours.

The scope of the project was to review the SAP system and suggest areas of improvement.

Role: Snigdhodeep focussed on the existing problems with MRP run for both production process and

spares business. He suggested the use of WBS BOM and Order BOM in order to resolve the

problems.

The Quality Management team was not able to use the QM module properly because of lack of

system knowledge. Snigdhodeep introduced them to different functionalities of QM (such as defects

recording, Quality notification etc.) which would help them to control the quality of the manufactured

products.

Project was to review the Business Blueprint prepared by the SAP implementation partner.

Production Planning. He pointed out that the production process of the assembly parts was repetitive

in nature whereas the vendor had suggested to implement discrete manufacturing. Later on based on

this recommendation the BBP was amended.

Role: Was engaged as a team member. In this assignment, the team carried out an analysis of the

objective was to identify the users having access to transactions which are conflicting in nature, and to

minimize the access of the users to the sensitive transactions, ensuring greater control. Snigdhodeep
