OBJECTIVE:
My objective is to slowly get back in the work force after staying home raising my two wonderful
daughters for the past 8 years. I am looking to work in an environment where I can put my positive attitude and people skills to good use. Since my previous experience has been mostly in the Customer Service industry, I have acquired the patience and understanding to assist and ensure that everyone receive the best level of service possible in order to achieve a positive experience. I am of Cuban decent and grew up speaking both Spanish and English. I am fluent in both languages. While I don't have any medical experience, I am a quick learner and would
be very excited to start over in a new environment.

SUMMARY OF QUALIFICATIONS:
In my career, I worked for Delta Air Lines from 1989 to 2006 in various Customer Service
positions. I began in the Reservations Department where I answered incoming calls and
assisted fellow agents at the Customer Service Desk from 1989-1993. I then transferred
to the Minneapolis Station after marrying, where I worked every position (including Ticket
Counter, Gates, Crown Room and Baggage Claim). This enabled me to experience every
aspect of working for Delta in the field. In 1996, we transferred to Atlanta where I first
worked the gates and within 2 years, was offered a Customer Service Work at Home
position. For six years, I responded to our Elite Customers' concerns either via telephone
or email, depending on the circumstances. This job required the ability to research both
the history of their experience while applying my knowledge as to how the situation may
have played out. I also had the authority to compensate the customer accordingly.
I thoroughly enjoyed this position as it enabled me to work from home for 6 years while
raising my two children. Unfortunately, after September 11th, 2001, the industry took
a devastating hit where drastic cutbacks became necessary and this department was eliminated. Delta offered me an in-house position which I declined as the commute was
too long.
EDUCATION:
Psychology
I attended the University of Miami on and off from 1980-1988. My goal was to complete a
Major in Psychology. However, due to a family illness, I was unable to complete my
education and have a total of 65 credits earned. I hope to one day return to school and
complete my degree.
INTERESTS:
I enjoy reading and writing. I have many journals I have kept during my life and now keep
one for each of my children. Cooking Spanish food is also one of my favorite things to do as my
mother is Cuban. I also enjoy speaking Spanish whenever possible.
