MOST and setting up line for required TACT time for new model.

MOST: Maynard Operation and Sequence technique, used to study & analyze operations.

TACT time: It is defined as Line speed. Time allotted for one operator to perform his process Cycle/vehicle.

For example TACT time of the line is 1 min, so every operator will have 1 min time to perform his cycle of

Operation/vehicle. If any operator has work more than 1 min his station is considered as over loaded & if

his work is less than 1 min that station is considered as under loaded

• Man power calculation for ASSEMBLY LINE based upon MOST Process Study.

• Assembly Line balancing through work distribution, Process change & scheduling, operator step reduction

and KAIZEN

LINE Balance: Balancing those operations which are over loaded & under loaded with respect to TACT

time. After balancing the Assembly line every operator gets equal quantity of work that is equal to the

TACT time.

• Analyzing Andon data to identify CRITICAL Processes there by reducing Line stoppages through

changing Process sequence & KAIZEN.

• Conducting new model trails for YE3K10 on Line & Hands on experience in design change management

• Currently looking after store management,Plant Maintenance & Utilities

• Plant layout modifications through CAD & Plant safety

• Part rejection on Line and discussing rejected parts quality with vendors & Vendor development

ROLES PREVIOUSLY HANDLED:-

• To start new model trail in line concurring to schedule by coordinating with various departments (MX,

Plant control, Assembly engineering) & other divisions (Engineering & Supply chain)

(Engineering change management) and making of Engineering change requests to engineering division for

:

• Man power management, Man power procurement for assembly shop & Responsible for assembly shop HR

functions

• Improving Productivity based upon LEAN MANUFACTURING (5S, 3G, MUDA & 3K)

• Coordinator for ISO 14001 & OHSMS 18001. Preparing ISO files and Coordinating ISO audits for the

plant.

• Monitoring Supplier quality & Material rejection. Looking after Line rejection analyzing daily rejection

cost and negotiating with respective parts vendors.

• Plant maintenance, Utilities & all equipment calibration & monitoring in Assembly shop.

• Optimization of Energy usage for plant based upon feedback & New ideas. Daily monitoring the energy &

air consumption rate for the plant. On a monthly basis analyzing the monitoring trend of consumption rate

there by setting target for the next month and making action plans for implementation to achieve the

planned target.

• Improving HPV and Direct Pass.

HPV: HPV defines the complete cycle time required for a vehicle to roll out from Assembly from

AB ON to AB OK. It is a key factor when considering plant efficiency..

• Purchasing equipment for assembly shop on timely basis.

• Identifying vendors and negotiations with vendors there by placing purchase orders based upon quotations

• Handling store functions, analyzing consumables cost/vehicle monthly and setting up target for reduction of

consumables cost for next month there by making action plan to achieve the desired target.

• Looking after Safety of the plant, operator safety (PPE), making Operator training plan on monthly basis
