SUMMARY

DOD Personnel Security
Assist the company FSO to maintain NISPOM standards for all DOD programs. This position requires
independent judgment and discretion, as well as the identification, analysis and resolution of security related
matters dealing with the NISPOM. I've provided my expertise, guidance and advice to executive management
as required, concerning all security administrative functions in support of a NISP complaint Security
Department.
Functions include :
• Maintain all personnel security clearances via JPAS (the DOD system of record maintenance).
• Provide professional customer service in maintaining accountability of all personnel security files
during all handling and processing, as well as ensure accuracy of entries made to those same
personnel security files and any associated databases.
• Review all personnel security processing forms to ensure the scope of information requested are met,
identify any incomplete or inconsistent data, and contact relevant subject to obtain omissions,
corrections, or required signatures.
• Order copies of existing investigations or other adjudicative information from various federal agencies
or commercial providers.
• Conduct security briefings and de-briefings, along with visitor control functions.
• Process security notifications for visitors, respond to direct queries for information, and perform
operational or mission related tasks as directed by the Government.
• Daily duties include conducting new employee briefings, exit interviews and debriefings, investigating
and reporting security violations, incident reports, and coordination of periodic reinvestigations.
• Annual duties include preparing for refresher training, self inspections and DSS audits.

1. Review all security paperwork for accuracy, completion and submission via the e-QIP system.
2. Provide guidance and instruction to employees to ensure completion of security paperwork.
3. Establish and maintain a working relationship with DSS in filing necessary clearance paperwork for

Check inventory for the “incompatible” or “irregular” packages and together with defective packages, ensure
