1
Introduced new dynamics to the investigative process in the Massillon Fire Dept. by
working with the Officers and Crews to show them how we all work as a team and
how the investigation begins when the alarm sounds.
I investigated over 250 fires in almost 3 years within the City of Massillon, as part
of the Stark County Fire Investigation Unit, and in the private sector with two
respected companies, fires in four states.
We were very fortunate to have prosecuted more than 10 arsonists during that time period,
all of them took plea bargains, including one that involved the State Fire Marshal
and the ATF.

Other Work History:

service and installation as well as six months with an electrician.
I worked almost two years with Pitts Fire Extinguisher Company inspecting and servicing
all types of fire extinguishers.
I worked part–time as a paramedic with Stark Ambulance Service.
What I have Learned and Live:
2
Growing up in a traditional home and the eldest of a large family started teaching me early
that I must be willing to work together and to be flexible when necessary to
accomplish a goal. High school and college athletics, military training all lead to
the same lesson for me. Everything comes down to communicating with and
relating to the people around you. I have learned and continue to learn the
importance of establishing rapport with the people I contact in any situation.
Experience has shown me that knowledge coupled with humility and honesty can
both prevent and dismantle barriers that can adversely impact safety and efficient
performance. I believe that my experience and personality can fulfill the objectives
of keeping the people and buildings of any organization as safe as possible by
establishing a caring relationship with everyone involved.
