• Managed and oversaw subcontractors, maintained and updated schedules, and coordinated work at multiple sites
directly impacting existing/new buildings. Ensured plans and specifications were followed, and subcontractors complied with
their contracts.
• Supervised and coordinated activities of craftsmen such as plumbers, electricians, mechanical technicians,
roofers, carpenters and glass installers to guarantee work progressed according to schedule. Guided processes such as site
preparation, erecting frameworks, and finishing the building.
• Directed all construction activities to ensure projects completed on time and within budget. Provided technical
guidance to foremen.
SELECTED CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS
• VHC 8,000 SQ. FT. MEDICAL FACILITY ($550,000 contract; medical build-out): Rebuilt the project schedule to
properly sequence all required tasks for creating a logical flow. Completed 12-week project in 8 weeks within budget.
• MAGELLAN HEALTH SERVICES ($1.2 million contract; 4-floor remodeling of occupied spaces):
Successfully completed the remodeling project on-time and within budget despite having to perform the work during off-hours
and ensure the work area was fully cleaned each night so that customers could continue their activities each morning.
• HOLLYWOOD CASINO, Perryville, MD ($2.2 million design-build contract; 35,000 sq. ft. casino plus food
service building that included framing and finishing all interior spaces): Ensured project completed on time and within
budget although it was fast tracked with daily design changes, and required constant coordination and communication with
the General Contractor, design team and material suppliers.
• TC WILLIAMS HIGH SCHOOL, Alexandria, VA ($2.5 million contract; exterior structural framing, acoustic
ceilings and elaborate auditorium ceilings [half-barreled drywall with clouds]): Finished drywall project on-time and
under budget while overcoming obstacles such as maintaining consistency in elaborate exterior cornice trim work (7 different
details) across elevations, investigating anchoring systems to locate a product to fit field conditions which conflicted with
design plan, and researching lifeline tie-down systems to provide safe anchoring for workers.
