2012-Current Supply Chain Manager, Chairman's Foods

Developed contracts and purchasing solutions for a private custom food processor. Implemented purchasing procedures that improved cost accounting and profitability. Developed new supply chain partnerships and transportation solutions that reduced product cost. Also worked as part of the R&D team in developing cost effective products. Also managed inventory of 800 plus items for Choice Foods, who is a sister company of Chairman’s Foods.

2009-Current National Account Sales, Garnand Marketing

Developed contracts and purchasing solutions for processors, restaurant chains and buying group customers. Also monitors contracts for compliance by all parties.

2010 Purchasing Manager, Loews Shared Services

Responsible for setting up 45,000 plus items and processing order request from hotels.

2002-2008 Purchasing Manager, COI Foodservice,

Responsible for purchasing, profitability, and inventory turns on multiple perishable product categories for national accounts and a manufacturing facility. Worked with corporate clients purchasing and operations to achieve cost savings thru consolidating purchasing, contracting, contract compliance, and inventory turns. Worked with Lawson software and other AS400 based software.

1996-2002 Purchasing Manager, Shoney’s Inc

Responsible for purchasing, inventory control, pricing, and profitability of $45 million in various product lines including perishable produce commodities, fresh meat, and non foods category. In charge of the produce product line in three regional distribution centers that serviced over 1000 company and franchise restaurant locations. Also responsible for training for the restaurant locations thru regional classes.

Interacted on a daily basis with vendors at a national level developing relationships beneficial to meeting and exceeding annual and long-term goals of the company. Excels at diverse vendor relationships as a fine negotiator that understands the dynamics of the supplier/purchaser partnership.

Award: 1998 International Freshcut Produce Association’s Precut Promoter of the Year.

1989-1995 Produce Manager, Shoney’s Inc.

In charge of buying and maintaining the highest quality perishable products including fresh produce for Shoney’s Inc. restaurants and a processing plant that produced value added items for the company. Responsible for researching and analyzing market trends, quality assurance, P&L, and training for the category.

1986-1989 Forms Distribution Supervisor, Shoney’s Inc.

Responsible for the buying and distribution of training materials/business forms for over 1500 restaurants. In charge of monitoring inventory levels and coordinating the printing of new materials/forms. Supervised employees in Forms Distribution Unit.
