DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

*Assessing, planning and implementing nursing care to all patients according to

their needs.

*Health education of patients and relatives regarding their illness.

* Administer the medication,(oral,I V,I M,subcute intradermal) using proper

sterile technique and administer to the right patient in the right drug, in the

right dosage,in the right time and in the right route.

* Providing high close nursing care and psychological support.

* Prepare patients for surgery according to the disease status.

* Cardiac monitoring of cardiac patients.

* Endotracheal tube suctioning with all aseptic precautions to prevent blockage

of the tube.

*Maintain correct intake output chart.

* Assist the doctors for all invasive procedures.

* Attending doctors rounds and carry out their orders for each patients.

*Nursing care of post operative patients including dressing.

*Health education about nutritional status according to the disease conditions.

*Taking part in ward meeting.

*Hygienic needs and changing positions of helpless patients.

*Admission and discharge procedures.

*Ryles tube insertion and tube feeding.
