Manage a staff of 30, and during a short tenure, have taken the institution

off probation from the College of American Pathology, (CAP). Presently

working to improve all current systems and procedures in the laboratory.

Manage quality and patient safety in the laboratory working with the

current regulations and accreditation requirements. Researching to improve

our current quality process.

Also responsible for all Point of Care Testing in the facility encompassing

Abbott Glucometers and I-Stat testing. Brought in new POCT testing

including Rapid HIV for employee health, and urine toxicology for our

anesthesia department.

Peconic Bay Medical Center - 2007 to 2013

Chemistry/Phlebotomy Supervisor

Acquired new instrumentation along with new testing which added to the menu

of assays offered. As a result, the laboratory required less reference

testing for our clients, greater turnaround time for our clinicians and

emergency department, along with increased revenue for the laboratory.

Responsible for all areas of the chemistry and phlebotomy departments

including scheduling and outreach.
