Statement of Faith
THE SCRIPTURES
I believe the Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the inspired word of God, the final and ultimate authority for faith, infallible, inerrant in it’s original writings and God breathed (2 Tim. 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
THE GODHEAD
I believe in one Triune God, eternally existing in three persons, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Each member of the Trinity is co–eternal in being, essence, glory and power, all members posses the same attributes (Deut. 6:4; 2 Cor. 13:14).
SALVATION
I believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace alone and received by faith alone in the Jesus Christ. Christ’s blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins (Eph. 1:7, 2:8–10; John 1:12).
THE PERSON AND WORK OF CHRIST
I believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God who became man without ceasing to be God. He was conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary in order that He might reveal God and redeem sinful man (John 1:1-14; Luke 1:35). I believe that Jesus Christ accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, substitutionary sacrifice, and that our justification is made sure by His physical resurrection from the dead (Rom. 3:24; 1 Peter 2:24). I believe that Jesus Christ ascended into heaven and is presently exalted at the right hand of God, where he is fulfilling the ministry of our Intercessor and Advocate (Acts 1:9, 10; Heb. 7:25, 9:24).
THE PERSON & WORK OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
I believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, righteousness, and of judgment. The Holy Spirit is the agent of a person’s regeneration, indwelling and sealing unto the day of redemption. (John 16:8–11; 1 Cor.12:12-14; Rom. 8:9; Eph. 5:18)
I believe in the continuation of the miraculous gifts of the Holy Spirit throughout all of church history. God is ultimately sovereign in the bestowing of spiritual gifts.
The Church
I believe that upon placing one’s faith in the Lord Jesus Christ as Savior, the believer is made part of the Body of Christ, the one universal Church, of which Jesus Christ is the Head. The Scriptures command believers to gather locally in order to devote themselves to worship, prayer, teaching of the Word, fellowship, the ordinances of baptism and communion, service to the local body through the development and use of talents and spiritual gifts, and outreach to the world to make disciples (Eph 1:22-23; Acts 2:42-46).
End Times
I believe in the glorious, visible, personal, return of the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord’s return will occur at an undisclosed time (Matt 24:36).
philosophy of ministry
Christocentrism
I will encourage and stress the need to emphasize the centrality of Jesus Christ and the uniqueness of Him in worship. (Col 1:15-10)
Commitment
I will be committed to the teaching and application of the Scripture’s, by making disciples through the power of the Holy Spirit in order to see Christ formed in the lives of the body. (Acts 2:42)
Community
I will seek to build a healthy environment by which believers may fellowship with other believers. The desire is that all members will never go through life with unmet needs. (Acts 2:44)
Communion
I will seek to observe the Lord’s death and resurrection through the sacrament of communion. It is my desire to also commit to a comprehensive lifestyle of worship. (Acts 2:46)
Conversion
I will seek to make disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ through Missions and Evangelism. The hope is that the fellowship, love of the saints, and godly living will attract unbelievers to the Person and Work of the Lord Jesus Christ. My desire is that new converts will feel like they are entering a family not just an organization. (Acts 2:47)
Compassion
I will seek to build a community where a personal encounter with God’s love overflows into compassion and love towards the broken. We will consider the needs of the broken, poor and neglected of society. (Luke 10:25-37, James 1:27)

Personal testimony
Throughout my entire life I’ve always heard the terms God, Jesus, the Bible, and Devil. I was actually raised by Christian parents who attended a Baptist church in downtown Toronto. I assumed that because I had been attending church services for my entire life, had Christian friends, and parents that I as well was a Christian. However, deep down inside I had no authentic relationship or love for God. I had never prayed, read the Bible or shared the gospel to anybody. Whenever I did attempt to read the Bible it was a verse or two because my Sunday school teacher or my pastor made me feel guilty for not reading it.
When I was 19 years old I attended a church particularly because they had an amazing band. As I was waiting for the service to begin a youth approached me and started talking to me about God. I was completely blown away as we were talking. I noticed two things completely different about this person compared to anyone else that I had ever seen before. First, this person was passionate about God, and second, what got to me was that this person was young. After the conversation I went home incredibly challenged. I immediately bought myself a Bible and started to read the book of Acts. All I remember was that I enjoyed it and wanted to read more in order to understand and love God more.
Within a couple of days things started to happen to me that I had never experienced before. I started experiencing a desire to know God in a personal way, my main objective everyday was to increase my love toward God and grow in faith. As that happened I started to hate sin, even though I did not know it was explicitly written in the Bible. I just had convictions about certain things that I had no clue was sin. During this time I was hanging around friends who did not know the Lord, after being convicted about sin it just wasn’t the same when I was around them. I couldn’t practice the things they did, talk about the things they talked about, my desires were completely changed; I had nothing in common with them. The only thing that I wanted to do when I was around them was to share the gospel with them. There came a point where they thought I had lost my mind and they eventually stopped talking to me. It also wasn’t the same when I was with my old Church friends. Instead of going to peoples houses to play video games or talk about the Toronto Raptors, deep down inside I just wanted to talk about God. Instead of going to a church service to hear a band play I would long to hear a sermon preached. I was always use to going to the restroom during the sermon even though I really didn’t have to go to the restroom, I just wasn’t really inclined to hearing messages. But for the first time in my life the message was the main thing that I looked forward to out of everything. It didn’t really matter who was speaking, either the person was young or old, enthusiastic or monotone, I just wanted to hear about God. One thing that sticks out was that there is nothing better in life then to know the goodness of God.
