Directed Construction & Conversion of 416,000 SF reactor vessel production facility in Chattanooga TN to a new, LEED
Gold manufacturing facility for the production of large Steam & Gas turbines, including extensive MEP, industrial
gases and building automation systems. Project completed on time and within budget.
(1998-2009) ALSTOM Environmental Control Systems, Sr. Consultant, Project Director
2007 – 2009: Completed first of a kind CO2 capture pilot project with WE Energy (June ‘07) and close out of 2
technically and commercially challenging power projects in the US Utility industry. Including general maintenance
activities, large damper replacement/retrofit project (4 isolation dampers) and installation of dynamic ash screens to
prevent SCR catalyst blinding on two 620 Mw coal fired units.
2006 – 2007: Developed retrofit project for large scale Carbon Capture and Storage demonstration project for 1300 Mw
coal fired unit for AEP. Developed detailed, successful $100+ Million project proposal and execution plan for later turn-
over to recently formed Alstom CO2 group for execution.
2003 - 2005: Drafted by boiler division in full leadership role as Project Director to take over project after default of
original contractors. Partially demolished and rebuilt poorly assembled 330Mw CFB boiler and ash silos on faltering
$800 Million US power project for burning of “Gob” coal waste. Effort included the negation of $22 million in prior
claims by consortium partner.
2000 - 2003: Lead emergency efforts to restore 650 Mw coal-fired unit to service after major duct collapse. Directed
overall rebuilding effort, conducted forensic study and negotiated $30 Million insurance recovery settlement on behalf of
owner and constructor under BAR insurance. Completed retrofit of SCR on 3 units and WFGD system wi. Commercial
grade gypsum on 1 unit.
1998 - 2000: Engaged as Project Director to direct joint Italian and American task force as a full partner in a
international project development consortia. Consortia joined together several diverse, international companies to
engineer, procure and erect new, 330Mw brown coal, super critical power generating station in Northern Greece, on
green-field site, including Housing, Administration and medical facilities, as well as site infrastructure and waste
treatment. Duties include direction of Project Managers, and Engineers in execution of project on a profit center basis.
Project completed 6 months early and within budget.

(1997-1998) ABB-POWER GENERATION GROUP LTD. - Zurich, Switzerland Project DirectorRetained by
corporate world headquarters as Project Director, with full authority to lead consortia of three international engineering
and construction divisions (German, Czech and American) to rebuild and retrofit existing plant with 6 - 55 Mw brown
coal fired boilers for district heating service, including retrofit of APC equipment to meet new source emission
standards. Retrofit work included 6 sets of new Axial ID fans, 6 electrostatic precipitators, pneumatic ash system, and
two train wet limestone FGD as well as new DCS system for entire plant. Duties included assuming lead role on
technical, schedule and commercial matters where end results lead to improved customer relations and relief of
significant loss exposure. Reversed $17 Million in previously accrued liquidated damages for delays.
