I’ve worked in a variety of pharmacies: hospitals doing pediatric and adult medicine; also in
community; home health; and military pharmacies. I work really hard to meet the needs of each
of my patients. I care about the final result, the satisfaction of a person being helped and I take
the time to improvise and improve processes.
Genesis August 2013 – present
Full-time contract pharmacist for State Hospital in Coalinga, CA. I am familiar with the State
Formulary, Med Select packing and able to run the EXP machine for repacking along with filling
the hospital med room units. Pharmacist Order Entry experience with the ability and record of
typing accurately and efficiently. This facility houses approximately 1100 inmates. They are
patients. We carry keys, have unit inspections (I have four units). We provide drug regimen
review for about 700 patients per quarter. I am certified for immunizations and preparation of
intravenous products. I work closely with my co-workers to include physicians, nurse
practitioners, psych technicians, pharmacy technicians, unit nurses, and information technology.
RX Relief April 2013 – present
Working as a relief pharmacist in various pharmacy settings. Usually a Target or Vons pharmacy
requires help staffing. I am able to walk in and work with a varying staff and patients. I have
CUREs registration to prevent unauthorized use and abuse of controlled medications. I’m also
APhA Immunization Certified.
K-Mart (Sears Holding) Pharmacy August 2013 – present
Casual (relief pharmacist) hired same day as position at Coalinga State Hospital came. I
will fill in for two different pharmacies when time permits
International Medical Relief April 18-28 2013
Worked as a pharmacist on a team with 4 providers and 3 nurses. I improvised for medications
to cover patient’s needs when the stock did not match the order. Gave water to people who had
none. Packed, unpacked, inventoried, and worked hard. This was an incredible opportunity and
I met many special people. A smile speaks a thousand words.
Model Drug Staff Pharmacist in Long Term Care Pharmacy Nov 2012- March 2013
Worked in a closed-door environment processing many data entry orders online for several
nursing homes and assisted living facilities. I provided clinical review for all orders especially in
elderly patient care. Pharmacokinetics services along with accessing problem sets were
addressed. Technicians worked to fill orders for pharmacists to check prior to being sent to the
facilities. I helped coordinate delivery of product. I worked with the physicians and nurse to
find the medication that is covered by Medicare A.
Save Mart pharmacy Staff Pharmacist November 2011 – August 2012
Worked in a grocery store atmosphere with one or two extra tech and/or clerk dependent on time
and production. Provided community pharmacy services while learning the customer’s names
and needs. Rang up customers on the registers in order to relieve my staff for other duties.
Wal Mart Pharmacy Staff Pharmacist May 2009 – October 2011
Working in Tulare as a staff pharmacist – processing prescriptions, filling, counseling patients.
Identifying medications. Answering questions from medical prescribers about medications.
Registered with DOJ to do patient activity reports online. I knew many of the customers by name
as they choose to wait for me for pharmacy consults. We were busy but the customer standing
in front of me always got my attention.
Longs Drugs now CVS 2008 2009
When the newest Longs store opened I was hired for the PIC position. I built my customer base,
inventory, staff to exact Longs standards. CVS purchased Longs in October 2008. Again I
remained as PIC and converted the store having met all requirements prior to timeline. I knew
each of my customers by name. I knew their family stories. Local physicians and PAs called me
to ask questions about medication and dosing. I am “wired” to have access to formularies and
ICD codes so that I could help the physicians find the preferred product usually done without the

I began my PIC position in the original Hanford Wal-Mart. I coordinated the move to the
superstore and stayed as PIC for 3 years. I hold the record for number of prescriptions
completed correctly with only one pharmacist and two technicians. Many of my customers
followed me to Longs because of my care and concern for their wellbeing.
Hanford Adventist Hospital 2003-2005
Hospital pharmacist - clinical duties of pharmacokinetic calculations and consultations -
infectious disease consultations - order entry - checking of pharmacy technician preparation of
TPNs, IVs, piggybacks - computer dispensing from Omni cell machine. Code Blue attendance
included administering medications - answering questions - making suggestions. On-call status.

National Guard. Spanish speaker. I’m able to help people with problems and support those who
need help usually before being told of the need. Just listen, the answer usually comes!
