Territory Manager (2012 – 2013)

Managed hydraulic lift gate sales and service activities in Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Waltco sales,

market share, and brand awareness increased significantly in this territory while in this position.

BRIDGESTONE AMERICAS, Nashville, TN 1991 - 2011

National Fleet Account Executive (2001 – 2011)

Coordinated the sales efforts of up to 180 Bridgestone field sales personnel to very large national commercial

fleet customers. Maintained lines of communications with all departments within Bridgestone and the fleet

organizations.

• Increased new tire and retread tire unit sales from 3-8% at PepsiCo companies while reducing their cost

of tire ownership by 1.5% in 2010.

• Reduced accounts payable and accounts receivable costs for PepsiCo and Bridgestone by converting

Pepsi and Frito Lay divisions to the P-Card payables system.

• Implemented a semi-annual fleet inspection program to assist planning and budgeting of future tire

purchases for Dean Foods.

• Created a training program specific to the waste/refuse industry at the Bridgestone Texas Proving

Ground facility leading to educational opportunities and high attendance by waste industry customers.

• Developed the specification requirements and assisted in the design of a new application specific steer

tire for the waste industry allowing for greater Bridgestone market share and profitability.

• Increased market share at Waste Management by 54% in a 2 year period by launching a new steer tire.

District Manager (1997 – 2001)

Managed 8 field sales personnel in the newly formed district in the Pacific Northwest. Partnered with

commercial fleets and dealers in a 5 state area.

• Increased Bridgestone truck tire unit sales by 43,000 units to Les Schwab in 4 years making them the

largest Bridgestone dealer in the Pacific Northwest.

• Trained and developed new hire personnel while making sales calls to dealers and fleets by providing

them with feedback critiques.

• Assisted in the development of a new commission compensation program that promoted sales growth

and retention of successful field sales personnel.

• Initiated and developed “Early Bird” purchasing program for dealers in Alaska that allowed tires to be

shipped during the Late Winter/Spring months and provided payment terms after the selling season had

begun.

Region Fleet Manager (1994 – 1997)

Promoted new and OE Bridgestone tire sales to the 25 largest fleets in North Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana.

• Exceeded 1995 fleet sales by 21,567 units in 1996 making it the 2nd largest RFM territory in the U.S.

• Increased replacement unit sales to Frozen Food Express from 4,450 in 1995 to 8,129 in 1996 by

creating a truck stop purchase program for the fleet.

• Attained sales quota objectives in 11 of 12 quarters while also meeting profitability objectives by

creating and maintaining strong relationships with fleet customers.

Territory Manager (1991 – 1994)

Developed new and existing dealer and fleet business in Dallas-Fort Worth area of North Texas.

• Balanced relations with 7 dealer locations in DFW area competing for fleet business that were all

growing the Bridgestone brand awareness.

• Coached and supported the efforts of dealer commercial salesmen providing them with knowledge to

confidently recommend Bridgestone products to their customers.
