The following is a brief description of my duties at Modern Niagara Alberta
Inc. in Calgary, Alberta for approximately the past 2.5 years. My title
since starting was Vice President of Sales and Operations for Mechanical,
Plumbing and HVAC Projects. In 2011, when I started, sales were just over
$800K. The current bookings for 2013 are in excess of $52M with revenue, in
excess of $25M while maintaining a gross margin in excess of 12 percent.
This was a start-up division which included finding office space to lease,
outfitting it with furniture, hiring staff, training and implementing
processes and procedures. I was also in the process of negotiating
acquisitions for a service and sheet metal component to complement the
project division.
