Work Experience:
Electrician Helper
Assist electricians in installing and repairing wiring, fixtures, and
equipment. Possess materials and tools, using hand trucks, or by carrying
material. Measures and cuts pipe conduit to specified
length, using steel tape and hacksaw. Thread conduit ends, using pipe
threader, and connect couplings and conduit fittings using wrench.
Fabricate conduit support brackets from strap iron strips using hacksaw,
shaping dies, hammer, and punch. Wiring experience. Secure brackets to
bulkheads with screws and bolts and pull wires through conduit leading to
connection boxes, switch panels, and other terminals. Strip insulation from
wire ends, using wire stripping pliers. Tie/screws wires to terminals for
subsequent soldering. Experience with pipe bending: offsets, 3 points, 4
points, saddles, kicks, 90's, etc,
efficiently. Experience installing fixtures, devices, fire alarms systems:
Horn strobes, pull stations,
smoke detectors, proficient in bending rigid and aluminum pipe. Able to
lift 50+lbs,
Commercial, Residential and Industrial experience. Experience with various
construction equipment. Have own tools and safety supplies. OSHA 10
certified. Skill level: Top Helper.
Drywall Finisher
Taper, Sander, Lead Man and Point Up man. Responsible for applying drywall
compound to the seams
between drywall panels and nail and screw indentations on the surface of
the panels. Sand and create
smooth wall surface for painting. Work on new walls and ceilings, and if
needed, repair existing walls.
Prepare high walls and ceilings requiring the use of ladders, stilts or
scaffolding. Painting and texture.
Skill level: Master Drywall Finisher.
Sprinkler/Pipe fitter Apprentice
Measure and cut steel or plastic pipes for installation using blueprints
and local building codes as a guide. Attach sprinkler heads and fittings to
pipes and ensure pipe systems do not have any leaks. Use equipment such as
ladders and scaffolding to perform installations, mostly in commercial
construction. Lift up to 100lb pipes. Skill level: Experienced
Sprinkler/Pipefitter.
