of a $4.2 million 52,000 SF metal fabrication facility. Project completed on time and under budget.

factory manager. Primary focus to learn business and improve productivity and quality systems in order to
prepare the Lancaster facility for FDA and Phillip Morris Facility and Quality Audits.
• Increased capacity of primary threshing line 50% from 8,000 to 12,000 pounds per hour
• Consolidated Kenbridge, Virginia Facility into Lancaster, Pa Facility to increase production
volume and reduce costs.
• Improved tobacco traceability throughout the production process in preparation for FDA
Regulation.
• Established Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Internal Auditing Program and
Document Control Systems to prepare for ISO certification.
• Implemented Quality System to track and remove Non Tobacco Related Materials to improve

• Responsible for multiple manufacturing locations with 250 employees in the United States in
Mexico.
• Reduced fully loaded labor costs from $25.00 per hour to $2.50 per hour by transferring
manufacturing operations to Matamoros Mexico. Reduced overtime from 16% to 6% with a
simultaneous 15% increase in production volume.
• Used constraints management techniques to identify bottleneck operations, Introduced selective
automation to increase quality and productivity. Eliminating third shift production.
• Directed the startup, staffing and management of a 40,000 square foot Photo-multiplier tube
manufacturing operation in Matamoros, Mexico, reducing product-labor costs.
