Professional Experience

10/06 to 9/13 Lanco International, Inc.

MIS Director. Managed up to 10 direct reports.

Led the teams that supported the business applications and infrastructure.

I elevated the physical infrastructure and enterprise application

environments focused on reducing cost, increasing productivity, risk

management and disaster avoidance through a number of strategic projects

led by the IT department.

Significant accomplishments included:

Consolidated data storage via NetAPP SAN implementation, VMware server

virtualization, critical business application disaster avoidance through

server replication and migration to 3rd party co-lo data-center, facility

rewiring projects to Cat6 standard, email archival, data center

environmental monitoring, secured wireless access, strengthened email,

internet and device security & protection software (introduced cloud-based

solutions), enterprise-wide VOIP phone system, company intranet design (MS

Sharepoint), converted company cell phone users to BYOD (bring your own

device) strategy.

Business applications accomplishments:

I led numerous 'niche' application project implementations including

SalesLogix CRM, storefront e-commerce, e-procurement for MRO and office

goods, enterprise document management.

Enterprise ERP (Epicor 9):

Led a team of executives through a 'discovery' project whose charter was to

evaluate a number of ERP systems that could replace the complex portfolio

of existing applications. Appointed overall project manager responsible

for the detailed design, data conversion, end user training and

implementation.

Administrative responsibilities:

Member of the corporate executive team - participated in annual strategic

planning events.

Negotiated multiple Microsoft software licensing enterprise agreements.

Led multiple service provider project proposals and renewal contract

negotiations.

Annual budget planning (capex and departmental expenses), salary planning,

performance evaluations.

1/05 to 9/06 RR Donnelley

Manager, Systems & Technology - Global Strategic Sourcing. Managed up to 5

direct reports.

Supported the Corporate Procurement business function systems and was the

liaison between the business and the IT support organization. Upon arrival

to RR Donnelley, took over the leadership of the business systems team to

successfully complete the execution of a project to convert legacy Geac

system corporate purchase orders and Vendor Masters to SAP.

Managed the Corporate Travel & Expense credit card and procurement card

programs (1100 p-card users and 6200 T&E cardholders). Led the development

of an RFP that resulted in the selection of a new provider. Program

administration included training, card application entry and maintenance,

spend limit management, cardholder spend audits, management reporting,

delinquency management, billing cycle-end posting of activity

to the back-end financial systems and settlement with the service provider.

Led the effort to decommission transaction feeds to backend A/P systems

and converted all users to a single backend financial system (SAP).

Administrative responsibilities included department budget creation and

management, salary planning, team development planning, performance

objectives creation and execution of annual performance evaluations.

6/94 to 9/04 Whirlpool Corporation

Held multiple titles from project manager to process manager Managed up to

19 direct reports.

Supported the Global Procurement business (direct and indirect) and

Consumer Services Business Unit.

Responsibilities included the development of strategic and tactical plans

to migrate the legacy automated procurement processes to SAP. Project

management responsibilities included the following achievements: Led the

upgrade of SAP EBP to version 3.5 to support a single global instance for

goods and services and MRO purchases. Migration of the legacy data

warehouse to the SAP Business Warehouse environment.

Consumer Services Business Unit project manager for Y2K remediation.

Responsible for Consumer Services Business Unit divisional applications

development staff and computer operations supporting service parts

distribution business processes.

Leadership role for a project where Whirlpool became the 'master source'

supplying Sears with service parts to support all appliance finished goods

sold through it's retail channel. Performed the software search, developed

the RFP, and led the design and implementation of the 'master source'

software solution.

Led the project to consolidate divisional computer operations into the

corporate office. This project included the integration of corporate

procedures, processes and standards into the divisional I.S. department.

Led the replacement of over 9,000 pc's within North America (corporate

center, 11 mfg plants, numerous distribution centers, remote sales offices

and technology centers). Responsibilities included vendor relationship

management, budget management, asset management, change management,

development & execution of all logistics, scheduling, ordering and

inventory processes, development of the returned equipment processes.

11/84 to 6/94 Zenith Data Systems/Heath Company

Manager of Systems Development/Computer Operations. Managed up to 17 direct

reports.

Directed a cross-functional project team in the implementation of a

distributed processing shop floor control, quality tracking, and serial

number tracking system to support both repetitive and 'build to order'

manufacturing.

Implemented multi-plant 3rd party MRP II system to support manufacturing,

service parts distribution and 'Heath kit' retail stores operations.

Implemented a variety of barcode technologies supporting material control,

shipment, serial number data collection, and component relief automated

processes.

Key contributor in the evaluation, cost justification, selection and

conversion process for outsourcing services.

11/83 to 10/84 Zenith Electronics Corporation

Implemented customized versions of Bill of Material, Work Center Routings
